Botox

Health Canada approved Botox injections are performed by Dr. Lillian Mess DNP who is committed to ensuring that her clients look and feel their best. She recommends the best treatment plan for each patient following consultation, and routinely uses Botox to reduce facial lines and wrinkles.

                                                                         $7.50 per unit.

Botox is the most popular anti-aging cosmetic in North America. It is a Health Canada-approved medicine that is injected into patients’ facial muscles to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, resulting in a more youthful appearance.

How does it work?

Botox is injected into specific sites to neutralize certain muscles that cause frown or laugh lines. It relaxes the muscles and causes the wrinkles to disappear. Botox was originally developed as a preventative treatment for debilitating migraine headaches and to treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) in any part of the body.

What does it cost?

Dr. Lillian Mess DNP will advise the cost following consultation as the cost varies depending on the volume of Botox required. The consultation process is an important part  in achieving the desired outcome…and the expertise of the injector providing injections.

How long does the procedure take?

The procedure usually takes 20-30 minutes and patients can immediately resume routine activity.

Is it painful?

Most people don’t feel discomfort however, if patients have extremely sensitive skin, Dr. Lillian DNP can  desensitize the area prior to starting the treatment.

When will I see results?

Within a few days of Botox injections, lines and wrinkles reduce or disappear and continue to do so for up to ten days.

Are there side effects?

There are no serious side effects reported when Botox is used at the recommended dose to treat frown lines.

How long does it last?

The benefits last 3-4 months and depend on the area injected, the volume of the injection, the patients’ activity and rate of metabolism, as well as the injectors expertise.

Dysport

This new injectable is favoured by the red carpet set because it produces faster and longer lasting results. A research study recently published in the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery confirm that some clients respond better to Dysport than Botox.  As with all injectables, the most important part of the injection process is the expertise of the trained medical professional administering it.  Dr.  Lillian’s commitment to her clients is a testament to her expertise.

                                                                 $7.50 per unit.

How it works?

Dysport is a prescription neuro-modulator favoured by the Hollywood set because its obvious benefits are faster and last longer – as proven in clinical studies. Key injection points around the eyebrows and eyes block nerve signals to prevent contraction of the muscles that cause lines.

Like other injectables offered at Adora Spa,  Dr. Lillian DNP performs this treatment.  Successful outcomes are predicated on the skill of the medical professional  providing injections.

How long it takes?

Depending on the areas treated, the time varies but usually ranges from 10-30 minutes.

Is it painful?

Minimal discomfort may occur. If a client is particularly sensitive, a topical numbing cream is applied prior to treatment.

When will results appear?

Results will start appearing immediately and continue for 3-4 days.

How long treatments last?

Depending on the quantity of the injectable and the lifestyle of the client, the benefits last 3-6 months.

What Dysport costs?

Costs vary depending on clients’ needs.  Dr. Lillian will advise clients whether Dysport is appropriate for them, and what the cost will be prior to starting treatment.

Restylane and Juvederm Filler

Hyaluronic acid gel injections are compatible with the skin’s natural hyaluronic acid and stimulate collagen production to make the skin appear more youthful by ‘filling’ moderate to severe skin creases.  Dr. Lillian’s consultations with patients result in recommending the appropriate injectable filler for each patient’s unique needs.

Dermal Fillers      $500
( cheeks, chin, nasolabial area, tear trough,  etc.)
Full Lip Fill              $500

Restylane and Juvederm are known as “fillers” because they restore volume and fullness, re-contour facial features, and soften deep creases in the skin. Both are formulated with a clear gel hyaluronic acid that acts like your body’s own hyaluronic acid to stimulate collagen production.

How does it work?

Seeing is believing. To assess how your appearance could benefit from a filler, visit www.restylane.ca and click on the “imagine tool”. You can upload your own photo and using the “imagine tool” see the visible differences that injectables can provide.

How do I know which filler is best for me?

Our injection specialist will help you make the right choice during consultation and discussion about the look you want to achieve.

What does it cost?

Lillian will advise the cost following the consultation. Key to achieving the outcome you desire, is the expertise of the medical injector providing the injectable.

How long does the procedure take?

The procedure depends on the volume of injections required but usually is completed in less than 60 minutes.

Are injections painful?

Most people don’t feel any discomfort, however, if patients have extremely sensitive skin, the doctor can desensitize the area prior to starting the treatment.

When will I see results?

Restylane and Juvederm injections produce immediate results.

Are there side-effects?

Sometimes patients observe mild pain, swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site, but it is resolved in less than seven days.

How long do fillers last?

Restylane and Juvederm can last 6-12 months but results vary depending on the location treated, the depth of injections, the patient’s activity and rate of metabolism, and of course, the expertise of the Dr. performing the injection.
